Why should you take a 2nd Review Course
Several of my former students have told me that they
have taken up to THREE different review courses (and STILL did not pass the exam!). After taking my review course- the student passed with flying colors!
I have former students who have told me that they lost a GREAT JOB offer because they failed the certification exam and the employer could not afford to wait another 3-4 months ( to retake the certification exam).
I KNOW THAT YOUR TIME IS VERY PRECIOUS!

ABOUT ME: I hate to talk about myself. I really do.....
Here goes. I humbly submit my background...
I am currently board-certified by both the ANCC & AANPCP as an FNP-C, and AGPCNP-BC. I have been teaching my NP review courses since 1997 and practice as an NP clinician since 1991 (I was an RN for 8 years before I became an NP).Â
I have been an adjunct instructor and clinical preceptor for NP students. I have also been a preceptor for medical school students.
I received my BSN degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and my Master's in Nursing from Florida International University.
I am the author of two best-selling NP review books
"Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification Intensive Review. Fast Facts & Practice Questions"
I was lucky enought to be invited to write the Dermatology chapter for Hector-Dunphy's and Winland-Brown's "The Art and Science of Advance Practice Nursing" (1st ed). I have to say that my most challenging job is motherhood. Both my daughters are now teenagers, my house has high levels of estrogen. Even our dog is a girl (Shiba inu breed). The only guys in my home are my hubby, one hamster, and my six beta fishes (fierce little guys).

WHY SHOULD I ATTEND YOUR REVIEW COURSE??
Ask yourself these few questions:
WHO wants to sit in a review course with 200 to 500 students?
WHO wants to be TOLD not to ask questions during the actual review class because it will slow the class down?
WHO wants to wait until the end of the review course before asking the lecturer a question?
WHO wants to sit in the back of the a large class and hear other students talking & whispering to each other because they feel disengaged?
WHO wants to feel like a "number"?
WHO wants to listen to substitute instructors?
WHO wants to enjoy the beaches and warm weather of South Florida?
HERE IS MY PHILOSOPHY ABOUT TEACHING:
I insist on smaller classes because I have found from 25 years of experience teaching NP review courses that student
LEARN BETTER this way. Period!
I make sure that all of my review courses are up to date and contain some of the LATEST TOPICs on the ANCC & AANP exams.
I treat each student as an individual. Yes, I allow my students to ask questions during the course.
YES, I do take time with each of my students.
My live review courses are all GUARANTEED.
WHY? Because my PASSING RATES ARE SO HIGH that I do not have to worry about loosing money.
It really is that SIMPLE.
I consider myself very lucky to be able to do what I love. GOD bless you with your exam.
With warm regards,

Hi Maria and all webinar classmates,
I just want to let everyone know that God allowed me to pass the AANP exam today. It has been a very difficult journey and I am so glad that it is over! The first time I took AANP exam I did not pass. I took ANCC and did not pass but today God allowed me to pass! God bless everyone!
Thank you Maria for your webinar!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got my score in the mail from AANP. I scored 606 the first time I scored 482. What a big difference!
This is Jovonne's story...
I graduated in January 2011. Took a review course called
--------- (name given by student, but I am witholding it) before graduation. I took ANCC May 5 failed. I studied all summer then took AANP September 7 failed. I took ANCC September 27 failed. I cried and I was so disappointed.
I knew the webinar would be perfect for me because I did not want to sit though a 9 hour class, I'm too impatient and I felt like that was too much info to be cramming when I took the other review course. I feel like God led me to your website.
I took the webinar and studied for two weeks after we finished the last class. I did just what you told me to do and God allowed me to pass the AANP exam March 5.When I saw the word passed I just started praising God I was so happy that I forgot about the other people at the testing site that was taking their tests. It's a great feeling.
There were so many questions that your webinar covered that was on my test.I just want to thank God for allowing me to find you and utilize your services to help me with that exam. I'm sorry this email is so long but I am so thankful. You can use any part of this email I know it is too long to use all but feel free to use what you want.
For those who failed keep the faith you will eventually pass if you don't give up. I realized that I was doing something wrong when I studied and failed those test and I knew I needed help.
Maria you gave us so many test taking strategies that I did not learn in my other review. I forgot to add that I also listened to the _____ tapes over the summer but still failed the both exams after listening to those CDs.
Thank you Maria!!! God bless!
My reply to Jovonne...
Oh my gosh... Wow. You made my week!!! What can I say, Jovonne? It warms my heart when I hear stories like yours. Indeed, I count myself as lucky for having YOU as my student. Thank you so much for your generous letter.

I took the test Friday the 26th of February and it was number five for me, and I passed, thanks so much for a great review class. I have taken in the past .... review class no success ( I do not not give names of other courses). I have ..... (another review company), books and review CD's and tests, I had no luck with those either, I also studied ... (another review company) without success, so thank you very much. You made it simple but effective and informative. Thanks again. Forever grateful.
From Dorothy K.
I am pleased to announce that with the help of your review course and test-taking skills, I have passed the ANCC FNP exam. I want to express my appreciation to you and your course considering that I have tried others, taken the AANP unsuccessfully twice and can now say I am a certified FNP-BC. If you even need to use me as an example of a success story, I am more than willing to help cause I know there are others out there that feel and have the same experience. It doesn't mean you weren't smart enough, it means you did not know how to test correctly. It would have been nice to pass on the first time but it does not always happen that way and I understand that. From Enid
I took the FNP AANP boards this weekend and passed!! I just wanted to let you all know that the ONLY study material I used was Maria's. I read her book cover to cover and attended the online review course in February and I felt so confident walking into the boards! Thank you!
From Sarah B.
I attended the January live review in Florida and wanted to update you on my progress. I took my board exam (AANPCP) on 2/25 and passed, YEAH!!! I felt so prepared after reading your book over the past few months and taking the live review. I even used the book to study for my final exam in school and passed because of your book and the exam tips in the chapters. I have rave about your book over the pay few months and the information to so many of my classmates. I actually tried to use another book and was very confused and stressed, you book is very straightforward. I want to thank you again, I feel that I was successful on my first attempt because of your book and review. Thank you!

I wanted to write and let you know that as of yesterday I passed my boards!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was the 4th time taking the exam and I really just wanted to give up. I had taken a different review course before the first and second exams and it was just too much information and just got too hard to focus.
Taking your course this time before the 4th exam gave me the glue to hold the pieces together. It all made sense, finally!!! I wanted to give up and be done so badly but pushed through and owe a lot of it to you and your course! Thank you so much for doing what you do and giving us what we need to know, not so much information that our heads spin. You do a great job! Ahhhhh I am soooooo excited!!!! Can't wait to see what the future holds! Jennifer L.

Evidence-based Medicine (EBM)
The ANCC exam will contain several evidence-based medicine related questions. You have to rate the three studies from best evidence to worse evidence.
Rate the studies based on level of evidence from the best (#1) moderate (#2), and to the worst evidence (#3). Your job is to drag the study and to drop it in correct order (that is why it is called the "Drag & Drop" format).
Exam Test Tip:
Top #1 evidence are meta-analysis of randomized controlled studies (RCTs) from the Cochrane/Medline/Pubmed/CINAHL databases.
I took the AANP exam twice and did not pass, I had taken 2 different review courses prior. I took your review course, in March and today I took the ANCC and successfully passed the first time!!! What a load has been lifted off my shoulders. I am scheduled to retake the AANP at the end of the month.
Per your awesome advice. I feel so confident now.
Thank you, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for having such a great review course that set me up for success. I will shout if from the rook top that you offer the best review course. Thank you so much for your support, sharing your knowledge and for being awesome! Thank you. Forever grateful

I am so grateful that I decided to take the time to do the webinar because it was just what I needed to really focus in on my studying for my AANP FNP boards. Well I am happy to say that I took the exam last week and passed!! You really honed in on the important elements to study and made the webinar very enjoyable.
PASSED EXAM SEPTEMBER 18, 2018
I want to thank Maria Leik, Angelica, and the amazing team for conducting such insightful and substantial webinar (Aug28-31, 2018). Those 4 days of intense review for the AANP/ANCC certification helped me pass the exam.
September 24, 2019
I wanted to write to let you know that I sat for my AANP exam yesterday and I passed! I had taken another course prior but things from that course just were not sticking with me. So I decided to try one more course and your program was recommended by a few people on YouTube and Facebook so I signed up. It was the best decision I have ever made. You made it all sensible and everything flowed well. I hope future students have the same success and again thank you ❤️

I took the review course for the first time in April 2019 while still in school. I took the AANP exam for the 1st time in July and did not pass. I took the review in August again. I took the ANCC exam for the 1st time on 9/6 and pass and I retook the AANP exam on 9/10 and passed. Thanks
I feel that it is key to take the exam within 30 days of taking the review course.

I just wanted to say thank you for your course. It is what totally pushed me over the edge. I took my test on Friday and passed. Your class was totally worth it. Thank you so much for doing what your doing. I will be forever grateful
It was very discouraging to me when I didn't pass the exam the first time. I began a search online for the best review programs to help me pass, I came across the Leik book and read it, cover to cover. Then I signed up for her online intensive review 4 day class. Her class was so helpful I was able to confidently take the AANP exam and pass easily. Her course is perfect for simplifying and clarifying the most important details about the assessment clues, diseases and drugs. I will recommend her course to everyone from here on out. Thanks so much Maria!!!!!!!

Dearest Maria, Good morning. I participated in your online class in April. I'm happy to say that I passed both the ANCCl and AANP exams in July! I don't think I could have been so successful without taking your review course! I also love the review book! I will be using it as I begin my new job next month!
Both exams were laid out exactly as you discussed in your class. I used all the hints and pneumonics that you had given us, memorized them, and wrote them down on the scratch paper during the tutorial period. That was an invaluable resource throughout the exams! With everything that you covered in the course, the lecture book, and the published book, I found the exams to be straight forward and easily passable. Thanks for everything!
October 1, 2019
Great review session, I attended the August 15th-18th webinar session, I did my board exam on August 20th and PASSED at first attempt, thanks to you. I had read your review book at least twice and was ready to take the board exam when I found out about the webinar, I decided to attend the webinar before taking the board exam. The review book and webinar was the perfect combo for passing the board
